PRIVATE TOUR OF TIVOLI: HADRIAN’S VILLA AND VILLA D’ESTE

Private tours Tivoli Villa d'Este

Enjoy a day away from the crowds with a private tour of Villa d'Este and Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli with a car and driver at your disposal!
A few kilometers from Rome lies the small hill town of Tivoli. Here the emperor Hadrian built the largest and richest imperial villa ever built before in the Roman Empire. Hadrian’s Villa is the most important ancient Roman villa, with theaters, baths, temples, libraries, gardens and elegant fountains. Hadrian's Villa is a unique beauty place and it is one of the most evocative classical sites in Italy, a must-see destination. For its beauty and its historical significance is one of the Italian UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

After lunch in a local restaurant  you will visit the magnificent Villa D’Este. The Villa was begun in the 16th century by Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este, son of Lucrezia Borgia. The villa is under the patronage of UNESCO and is the masterpiece of the Italian 16th century garden, one of the finest examples of the sumptuous and princely Renaissance residences. Particularly pleasant to visit in the summer, with countless fountains, waterfalls, and an ingenious still working water organ.
At the end of your private tour, you will be brought back to your hotel in Rome.

Duration: 7 hours including transportation. You may ask to visit only one site, though I recommend you to visit  both of these World Heritage Sites.
