Francesca is fantastic! She guided my family (with three kids ages 5-11) a few years ago. We had a wonderful time and saw so much! We all got far more out of the visit than if we’d tackled Rome on our own. This year friends of ours hired her and also had a wonderful time.

We had Francesca for 4 hours each on 2 different days in Rome. We had asked her to show us various churches and sites not on the main tours, as we were going to be joining a cruise tour group. She was great! She was on time, prepared, and relaxed, even when we had to change our schedule. She has a very nice friendly and humorous personality too and is very accessible. We were able to see everything on our list. We were very impressed with the depth of her knowledge about history, art, religion, architecture and archaeology. She was the best local guide we had our entire 2-week cruise from Rome to Sicily including the Dalmatian Coast and in Venice! I would highly recommend her and she was by far worth every penny!

Francesca is a very smart and experienced guide who immediately bonds with the family and especially a teen. In our case our granddaughter who is 12 1/2 enjoyed seeing and learning of Roman Statues, Greek mythology, Roman history, museums, and galleries all went smoothly. As well we learned so much in visits to the Forum,Coliseum, Many Churches, The Vatican and her explaining clearly was terrific. As well she happened to take us to great gelato stores, which with a teen is very important to break up the tour and rest for a minute or two. A special highlight which we didn't know existed and have been with other guides 4 or 5 visits, was The Basilica di San Clemente. It was a truly wonderful visit, there levels and the excavations and understanding of points of construction was very interesting, or as our granddaughter said "cool".
There is no substitute for a knowledgeable private guide and skipping the lines and her purchasing the tickets in advance was a great help.
We highly recommend Francesca, She is a fabulous personality as well.

Francesca Maria was a great resource for me to learn about the sites and areas we went to. She was full of good information for all the questions I had at the different sites.
